By Mac OS 9, all easter eggs had been removed from the operating system and applications. Jobs' ban had a simple justification for him: Engineers waste too much time on these, and they don't add. One change from CHRP for example was to boot classic Mac OS using a 4MB Mac OS ROM file stored on disk. The original iMac used a PowerPC G3 (PowerPC 750) processor, which also ran in Apple's high-end Power Macintosh line at the time, though at higher speeds. It sold for US$1,299, and shipped with Mac OS 8.1, which was soon upgraded to Mac OS 8.5. – The 'ATI Read Me' writes Mac OS 9 and QuickTime 5 (QuickDraw 3D 1.6), but I have tested succesfully QuickDraw 3D RAVE on System 7.6.1 and QuickDraw 3D 1.5.3 with my Radeon 7000 Mac Edition PCI – For OS older than Mac OS 8 you should use the Dan Palka's driver version below (it is without ATI Displays and OpenGL ).
The ATI Rage 128 is a PCI video card that works in a standard 33 MHz PCI slot or Apple’s accelerated 66 MHz PCI slot. It was the standard video card on the Blue & White Power Mac G3 and the Yikes! Power Mac G4, where it sat in the lone 66 MHz PCI slot. According to Accelerate Your Mac, the card only sees about a 10% performance gain on the faster bus.
The Blue & White G3 was Apple’s third PCI Power Mac without motherboard video; the first two were the Power Mac 9500 and 9600, which usually shipped with the ixMicro Twin Turbo video card. This was the first time Apple used a VGA connector on a desktop Mac.
Because Mac OS 8.0 and later include support for Rage 128 graphics, there is no need to try to locate and download official ATI drivers. Good thing, because since AMD took over ATI, access and support for such old hardware has pretty much vanished.
The Rage 128 card has a connector for a DVD decoder card. Many articles mention poor 16-bit image quality, and 32-bit operation is nearly as fast.
ATI shipped several Mac compatible cards based on the Rage 128 chipset. These include the Orion, Nexus, and VR cards.

Easter Egg (Secret Levels and Bosses)
Hey folks found some secret Easter eggs and wanted to share.
Mac Os Catalina
You can access these secret levels by either playing story mode, arcade or stage select. Each arcade machine will require a taser to activate the secret level which will always be provided either by an enemy or just laying on the ground. Once your in the secret levels you will only get 1 life to kill the boss. you’ll be rewarded with a star special pickup from one of the breakable items on that retro stage.
On stage 2 after you’ve beaten the taser guards you’ll see an arcade machine. Pick up a taser and attack the arcade machine with it.
Once done you’ll be taken to the an old retro level and face off against the Boss Jack (Hes an easy fight, just likes to throw knives a bit and has a 3 swipe attack).
At stage 4 head to this area.
Go inside and walk to the left to access the arcade machine. once again attack it with a taser.
Here you will fight zanza. (he moves around a lot very quickly and has a wake up drill claw so be careful after you’ve knocked him down.
On stage 5 after passing the sewers you’ll end up in the bar.
This time you fight Abedede (He was much more difficult in streets of rage 2. here hes a bit tonned down. has a running lariat attack, a dive, and a wake up aoe attack with invincibility).
Lastly on stage 8 after you’ve passed the art exhibit you will end up in this room.
As soon as you enter the room there will be a taser directly where you are standing in the shot. pick it up and once again attack the arcade machine. Pray for death mac os.
In this secret level you will fight a few enemies before you fight retro Shiva (has an anti air attack and is much more difficult than the updated streets of rage 4 Shiva boss fight, Followed by Mr.X (runs around a lot and shoots you with his machine gun) with some minions that continuously spawn.
